Delosperma

(Aizoaceae - carpetweed family)
About 140 species of dwarf, succulent shrubs or biennial or perennial herbs, from S. Africa. They require well-drained soil and tolerate dry soil. The following species have trailing stems and spread to form low mats. They are attractive and easily grown. They are likely to tolerate severe winter conditions best if they are growing in a dry location.
