Greek yarrow

new, fragrant, ground cover, rock garden, dry - moist, sun
Greece

A mat-forming ground cover which produces small, flattish, yellow flower clusters 3-4" across which bloom profusely summer into fall. Upright, feathery, gray-green foliage looks like it has been dusted with talcum powder. Best yarrow in any landscape, it provides excellent color throughout the summer months. Aromatic foliage has a somewhat strong, spicy scent, which persists in dried arrangements. Fast growing and drought tolerant once established, but also tolerant to hot humid summers. Can be evergreen in milder climates. Tolerates sandy and clay soil. Attractive to butterflies, deer and rabbit resistant.
