moss, native, ground cover, rock garden, part shade
eastern north America; Europe

A neat, low-growing moss. A pioneer species, it often shows up in disturbed ground, and can spread fairly quickly. Probably best on small areas of up to perhaps 10 square feet or so. Clumps are fragile, and need careful handling. Drought-tolerant, once established. Can't ship to CA, WA, AZ or OR.
