e & cent N Amer

A handsome and easily grown native. The maple- or geranium-like leaves are evergreen, and strikingly marked with purplish-brown along the veins. The small, yellowish flowers appear on tall stalks in spring. Adaptable, and decidedly ornamental year-round. May prefer a bit of shade, but does well in full sun if the moisture supply is good. At home around rocks.
