Mazus is a vigorous, low-growing ground cover with bright green leaves that form a dense, handsome mat of foliage. Produces unusually large blue-violet flowers in late spring with yellow and white markings that resemble snapdragons. Foliage is evergreen in warm winter climates. Prefers moist, rich soil. Tolerates foot traffic and would do well between paving stones. Tolerates hot, humid summers. No serious insect or disease problems.
