Small white flower heads form loose clusters atop the hairy stems of this aromatic perennial. Leaves are large and oval to lance shaped, and can grow to be 1' in length. Catawba Native Amercians used the plant medicinally; recently it has gained scientific attention for its history of medicinal use. Tolerant of dry soil and partial shade, it is an interesting addition to meadows or native plant gardens.
